Transitions Featured
It's a beautiful Saturday morning at the cabin. The air is cooler, the breezes are light, and the sun is just coming over the horizon. There is definitely a feel of autumn in the air which always brings, for me, mixed feelings.
While I love the cool mornings and the breezes off the lake I'm also anticipating the season change that brings more than cool mornings - it brings bone chilling weather to our home in Minnesota. The carefreeness of summer is transitioning to the confinement of winter. But, there are new fall recipes to try and walks with the dog in the crisp autumn air.
Just as seasons cycle, so does life. Life is a series of transitions - from birth to death and everything in between. Bob is getting quite proficient at retirement and I'm just beginning to consider retirement. I'm always hoping that I'm in the right place doing what I was intended to do in all my life transitions. I heard a quote recently that captured what I hope for my life. "When it comes to life, we spin our own yarn, and where we end up is really, in fact, where we always intended to be.”

As I start the next life transition I'm planning to listen with more curiousity, speak always with kindness, and be happy being where I am. I want to continue to experience life to the fullest and learn new skills while having enough awareness to know when to lend a hand or ear to friends along the way.
I share my life with my husband Bob and our 12 year old miniature pinscher Skitter. We also have a wonderful extended family who lives across the country. We're committed to working on fulfilling our bucket lists, spinning some of our own yarns while sharing life with our great friends as well as making new ones along the way.
